I want to start this by saying I've only had this stereo installed for a few days. I've have owned Kenwood Excelon radios before and they were always good, this one is no exception. The sound from this unit is unbelievable. You can adjust just about any sound setting you can think of. I was worried at first that it would be very complicated to use, but I have found that just after a few hours of using it, the menus and settings make sense and are laid out nicely. I noticed another reviewer was unhappy that it did not come with a good manual, but I disagree. The full manual comes on a CD in PDF format and gives all the info you need to operate radio. It also comes with a abbreviated paper version that will help with BASIC setup.
At this moment I am only using factory speakers in my 2005 Ford Explorer. I never would have thought that factory speakers could sound this good. I've played just about every music genre on this and so far I am very happy. I am soon installing some Boston Acoustic component speakers and I can only imagine how good they are going to sound. I did not buy this from Amazon, only because I needed a factory plug adapter and dash kit, so it made sense to me to get it from another well known vendor that includes these two items as a package deal. I paid $200 and had free shipping. Anyway, for this price this is an exceptional deal on a terrific head unit.
I love that the usb(3 ft cable can be put where you can hide it, and aux in are in the back of the unit, not on the front, that looks ugly to me I don't want wires hanging out of the front. I have a 2gb flash drive plugged in and it plays great. The scan time is instant and its easy to navigate to find or search which song you want. You can filter by Artist, Album, Genre, or Name. Same thing goes for a cd that you have MP3 loaded on. With the Aux input you can plug in anything that has a standard 1/8" headphone jack (mp3 players, xm/sirrus)I do not own an Ipod, but the unit also works with that.
Summary: This is a great product and I would not hesitate to buy again or recommend it anyone. You will not be disappointed. If you want to see the headunit in action there are a couple of YouTube videos that review it well.

Sanyo Xacti VPC-E2 Digital Camcorder and 8 MP Digital Camera (Blue) Review

Sanyo Xacti VPC-E2 Digital Camcorder and 8 MP Digital Camera (Blue)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Before purchasing E2 I was torn between E1 and E2 but decided to go with a new model. There were no reviews on E2 other than a single one for Euro/Japanese/Canadian version of E2 called CA8 and that review blasted the camera's new sensor. Nevertheless, with Amazon's liberal return policy, I decided to take my chance and to get E2 instead of E1. After all, it is a second generation of this waterproof camera, and I thought the second generation is typically better.
If you are trying to decide between E1 and E2, here are the major differences:
The most obvious is a change of sensor.
E1 uses 6MP CCD 1/2.5 sensor
E2 uses 8MP CMOS 1/2.5 sensor.
E2 adds a 60 frames per second movie option (E1 was limited to 30 frames per second)
E2 adds face recognition mode. E1 has no such face detection mode
E2 adds a dedicated 'underwater' mode among several others. E1 did not have a specific 'underwater' mode.
First, I tried both the new 60 frames per second mode and the old 30 frames per second mode and I decided that I will be using 30 frames per second, I actually like the quality of 30fps mode better.
I then tried the photography mode. I took most photographs inside in tricky low-light incandescent and florescent light conditions, because I know these give ANY camera, including DSLRs such as my Canon 40D $1300 camera, the most problems. I upped the ISO to 200 and then to 400. You can see samples I posted here. BTW the macro mode on this baby goes to 1 cm!!!! I don't know if E1 had such super-macro to 1 cm. I found the photo quality acceptable and similar to that of other point-and-shoots using the same 1/2.5 and similar sensors. I felt that ISO400 was acceptable. I have not tried ISO 800 and 1600 yet.
E2 has following ISO range: in photo mode 50-1600
in video mode: 100-3200 in high sensitivity mode (3200 I don't believe you can select, but it does it).
The image stabilization feature is tricky, it is EIS, Electronic Image Stabilization, not Optical Image Stabilization, so when you use it, it crops a little bit on sides of your video and photographs, depending on which mode of EIS you use.
The sound is stereo and the quality is acceptable. The camera is tiny btw, I fit mine in case logic case I had from my Canon A75 camera.
I tried this camera underwater in my pool, both video and photographs. All worked fine, even shoots photographs with flash underwater, which makes for very freaky results.
---
Finally, some people complained that Sanyo has their own unique USB cable which is a pain if you lose it or don't have it with you, and cannot read it in ordinary card reader. WRONG. I did not even bother taking the proprietary Sanyo USB cable from camera packaging. The card works easily in my HP (windows vista) desktop's card reader. I downloaded PICASA 3 which I recommend. Picasa 3 will find, download, and play all photos and every video you shoot with this camera easily and quickly, just take the SD card, put it in your card reader and Picasa will do the rest. Very easy, so don't need to bother with this cable that comes with it.
Problems: Battery life is not impressive. Battery is tiny. I am used to Fuji F30's 500 shots per charge. This battery sucks. I charged the battery fully. I then took 80 photographs (some with flash), 4 or 5 2-minute videos and my battery showed 70% gone. You need a second battery, and hopefully there are some with more juice in it that the Sanyo one that comes with the camera.
I also wish the lens would start at 28mm and not 38mm as it would make easier to take pictures/videos of oneself without need to stretch your body away from the camera. Also my belief is that the flash only operates in photo mode and not in video mode. However, it is much better than its only competitor, Panasonic SW20, which does not have any flash at all
I will add more photos later.

Sony Cybershot DSC-S950 10MP Digital Camera with 4x Optical Zoom with Super Steady Shot Image Stabilization (Silver) Review

Sony Cybershot DSC-S950 10MP Digital Camera with 4x Optical Zoom with Super Steady Shot Image Stabilization (Silver)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
My rating doesn't reflect the fact that the flash bulb in mine was doa, because that could just as easily happen to any camera... It's just a little annoying that their QC department didn't catch it. Anyways, Amazon is sending me a new one, and letting me use this one until the new one gets here.
The quality is great overall. Using ISO100 mode with a quick shutter speed produces an awesome quality outdoor scenery shot. For indoors, I found that using the automatic shutter settings worked best, and indeed worked well. I took a photo of a $5 bill (fitting the whole bill in the frame), and was able to clearly read the little "united states of america" written in the border around Lincoln's portrait. In fact, I could even see the ink bleed on each of the little letters. For outdoor shots, the 4x zoom doesn't seem to cost the photos any quality, and could even show some details better than i could see them with my own eyes, and I have perfect vision.
With that said, there are a couple points which i don't like about the camera. First, the quality of photos drops dramatically when you use an ISO setting much higher than 100. Don't even bother with the ISO3200, it looks substantially worse than a cell phone camera. I also don't like that it's one of sony's only cameras that doesn't have a Carl-Zeiss lens. I was so used to Sony cameras using one, that I was surprised to find out that mine doesn't. The Sony lens that it uses seems to work very well though, it may not even be noticeably different. I also don't like that you have to remove the battery to charge it. You can buy an additional charger that plugs directly into the camera, but why wouldn't they just give you one in the first place? If i wanted to pay another $20 for that, then i would've just paid an extra $20 towards a more expensive camera to begin with.
Overall I really like this camera, and would recommend it to anyone looking for a very cheap, but decent quality camera. I am using mine with an 8GB Sandisk Memory Stock Pro Duo, which holds 1900 photos at full resolution, or 5.5 hours of video.
--------------
Update: Amazon was out of this camera, so they refunded my money, and I got a Sony DSC-W290 instead, which I am much happier with overall. It's double the price though, so I guess you get what you pay for. I don't think the S950 is the level of quality where you could expect to be happy with the camera for years to come; it's more of an introductory camera that you'd probably plan on replacing a year later. I would change my rating to 3 stars if amazon let me.

I researched for 6 months before choosing this IBM. Great value, solid notebook. Love the keyboard and the access IBM help. I have called tech support for information and help with software installations and driver updates and they were very good and patient with all my detailed questions. This is important to me... to have good tech support available. This T41 comes with a 3 year warranty.
IBM's website has excellent support. I love the automated stuff where it analyzes your computer and tells you what updates you need. Sometimes their driver upgrades are more for the IT person. But, just download their software installer and it works great. However, you must focus...if you want to understand what you have downloaded. Not totally for the novice. Tech support walked me thru it once and I was on my way.
So far so good after only a month, the T41 rocks! Particularly the higher-end graphics card, glad I went for that. I can tell the difference when comparing with my desktop LCD.
The CD burner works well and I use Nero 6. I had been using a 4x burner on my desktop and this one writes at 24x...what a difference.
If you are contemplating a notebook, consider this one. Pay the extra bucks and go with IBM...very glad I did!

No matter how specific your requirements, chances are IBM has a ready-made mobile computer to cover them. For those users who appreciate lightweight portability and battery efficiency more than overwhelming power, the ThinkPad T41 (2379DJU) Notebook PC is a solid choice. You won’t want to use it in demanding business environments or as a 3D gaming rig, but the ThinkPad T41 (2379DJU) will otherwise fit quite nicely in most personal or light-duty professional situations. It’s also relatively inexpensive in comparison with the majority of IBM notebooks, and that should make any computer buyer happy.
Driven by a 1.6 GHz Intel Pentium-M processor with Intel’s new Centrino technology (Centrino processors offer improved battery life and more power than similarly rated non-Centrino CPUs), the ThinkPad T41 (2379DJU) is fast and easy on the batteries. The unit is equipped with a minimal 256 MB of 333 MHz main memory, which can be doubled or quadrupled for improved general and multitasking performance. Its graphics controller, an ATI Mobility Radeon 9000 with 32 MB of dedicated video memory, helps power the unit through midlevel 3D applications and games but won’t deliver smooth frame rates when asked to operate today’s newest high-end 3D games and 3D design apps.
Tipping the scales at a scant 4.9 lbs. and measuring just 12.2 by 10.0 by 1.0 inches, the ThinkPad T41 (2379DJU) is exceptionally easy to transport and operate. IBM has equipped the system with an average-sized 40 GB hard disk for file and program storage, a CD-RW/DVD drive through which you can listen to and burn audio CDs and watch DVD movies, and a 14.1-inch TFT display screen capable of super detailed 1400 by 1050 resolutions. DVD writing is not supported.
The ThinkPad T41 (2379DJU) is home to many unique and practical perks, including a nifty keyboard-illuminating ThinkLight for low-light situations, an S-Video out port, two high-speed USB 2.0 ports for fast interaction with external peripherals, and a full-size keyboard featuring IBM’s user-friendly ThinkPad UltraNav multi-pointing system. An IEEE 1394 FireWire connection, typically used for downloading data from digital camcorders, is not part of the package.
Communication options are excellent. The unit sports a low-speed 56K fax/modem, a super-fast Intel/PRO 1000 Gigabit Ethernet Ethernet connector for incrementally faster network access than traditional LAN technology, and Intel PRO wireless for those times when you can’t plug in. Battery life is estimated at an admirable 4.4 hours under ideal conditions.

SanDisk Sansa Fuze 8 GB Video MP3 Player (Black) Review

SanDisk Sansa Fuze 8 GB Video MP3 Player (Black)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
What I really like about it is the size, capacity, and most of all price.
The codec support is about average, not great but it satisfies my needs as 99% of my music is encoded in mp3 format.
One of my dislikes is common among all sandisk mp3 players(and most other players) is that the charging/syncing port is proprietary. Not a big issue, mini-usb would have been nice though.
Video playback was smooth(used a mp4 350MB recorded tv show) no sync problems between the audio/video and no stuttering. Too small to really be considered for video playback though.
Picture viewing is about the same as video and by that I mean it works great and the pictures look ok but the screen is so small it is not practical to show off pics with it.
Voice recording works well, don't have to hold it directly to my face to clearly record sounds...although I'm not sure what this can be used for but it is there and works well.
The radio works great, easy station browsing, easy to add stations to presets, and reception is very clear.
The sound is very accurately produced at all ranges. The included headphones fit well and sound good. The volume goes up much higher than I could ever think I would need it. For those of you who are runners, I use the earphones that come with it and they direct the sound very well into my ears so I do not have to make it too loud and can still hear some of the environmental sounds: wind noise is hardly noticeable.
The screen is easy to see in all light conditions, bright, and easy to read.
The build quality feels great. It has generous weight to it, light enough to take running and not really notice it but heavy enough to give it a solid feel. The front of the device is a bit shiny and does tend to attract fingerprints easily but not scratches so far.
Expansion port works great, currently using a 4GB microsdhc to shuttle podcasts/audiobooks between it my pc.
Navigation is a breeze and the menus are very intuitive, the scroll wheel/buttons are easy to find and press even with the player not in sight.
Syncing I very easy to do without the need for bloated software. You can add media to it via a file explorer(drag & drop) or one of several media players like WMP, winamp, and a variety of others. The datbase is auto-updating and works flawlessly. I have seen a few reviews that say the database refresh takes a while. With a completely full internal memory and half full 4gb card my refreshes only take 15-30 seconds.
A few final notes. The boot-up is about 3-5 seconds from off to playing music after pressing the power button. It will resume the music exactly where you left it when turning it off. Actual usable memory is about 7.8 GB. 4 1/2 out of 5 stars, best on the market right now but not perfect of course.
UPDATE: 2 new "cons" I have come across. Technically the device is performing as intended but I am hoping for a firmware update to "resolve" these.
1. When scrolling, the speed of scrolling does not increase. Basically takes forever if the song you want is in the second half of the alphabet. This will probably be changed in the next firmware update though.
2. The podcasts are sorted by most recent first. This kind of makes since so you dont have to scroll to the bottom to listen to the newest one but it also causes a problem if you are trying to listen to a series in order and it starts playing through them backwards. :( Probably no "fix" for this issue although being able to choose how it is sorted would be great.

Naxa NX-157 DIGITAL ALARM CLOCK WITH DIGITAL TUNING AM/FM RADIO AND CD PLAYER
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Very poor tuning. Uses an analog knob to tune the digital display. It has a digital display but appears to not tune in discreet steps as a digital tuner does. Very difficult to settle the digits on a specfic FM station, like 92.1. You hear the station as you approach the correct numbers and well after passing the numbers desired, like an old analog tuner. Appears to be a poor quality receiver, poor selectivity, poor sensitivity. Very tinny sounding. By the time it was given as a gift the "exculsive 30 day return policy" period had expired. Put it back in the box and stuffed it in the closet. Wasn't worth spending more money to return. Will give it to Goodwill. I gave a rating of 4 stars for features, it has what I wanted, but is very poor quality overall. Remember: YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR!!!! I "ass-ume" that this seller does sell some better quality am/fm cd player clock radios.

I did not like this product I purchased. Because it does not have:
1. Scan button to seek stations
2. Preset buttons for stations
Morover, the antena power is too week, stations are not clearly captured, found difficulties in adjusting speakers balances and fade function and: the blue light is too bright at evening and is impossible to dim it. This divert the driver when is looking ahead at nights.

Thank you.

Easy to get up and running, the unit goes into slideshow mode after power on automatically. Picture quality was excellent. Easy to put pictures on a memory card and have them show up. Recommend re-cropping your pictures to 16x9 aspect ratio so you get a full picture. Unit can accomodate std. 4x6 format as well, but will not fill the screen. Small Quirks are:
- When in slideshow mode, you can't hit the pause button to ZOOM in.
- Very poorly designed stand that WILL collapse after a couple of weeks.
- Documentation is lacking (typical COBY style)
- No support for QuickTime video popular in some digital cameras
- Unit has a faint lingering glow on screen after power down which doesn't go away unless you unplug the unit.

APC Back-UPS ES 8 Outlet 650VA 120V Review

APC Back-UPS ES 8 Outlet 650VA 120V
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I bought the BE650R for two purposes: The first is to provide battery backup power for my home computer system on a daily basis. The second is to use with my portable generator to provide "clean power" to all of my electronics when the power goes out and I'm forced to use it. The BE650R handles both situations very well.
The provided PowerChute software installed without a problem and managed the computer system perfectly when the power went out, completing a graceful shutdown when the battery got low. APC only provides the most basic version of their software (you have the option of buying an upgraded one). It doesn't have any reporting or testing features, but given the size of the BE650R I don't see why you would care. This is a UPS for workstations and small electronics, not servers, so I don't see the need for robust UPS software.
The UPS hooks up via a provided USB cable and the setup was very easy. The BE650R provide about 11 minutes of run time for my system, which is comprised of a 350-watt computer, 19-in lcd monitor, wireless router and dsl modem.
As for using the UPS with the generator, I haven't had any problems so far. The generator maufacturer recommmends using at least a surge supressor with their product, but I figured a UPS would be one step better.
I would definitely recommend this unit.

Are you wondering what makes the Soundstation Premier the best? Let me explain. This system uses any where from 3 to 6 mics; 3 mics are built into the base station, and depending on your configuration you can add 2 extension mics plus a remote mic. What is special is that the unit only uses one mic at a time by sensing which mic is picking up the best sound; this avoids that hollow, echo sounds that you've heard many times before on speakerphone calls.
The system also features noise canceling circuitry, so many background noises are removed. Plus it is expandable with additional mics, a remote lapel mic, and even a remote speaker station. There are other niceities including an LCD display on the base unit, but in my opinion the reason to spend the extra dollars in this unit is the quality of sound. Simply put, it is spectacular.
There are a few different Premier models, each one uses the same basic base unit. The Premier EX is expandable with additional mics, and the Premier is not, so plan accordingly. Select the unit most appropriate for your conference room setting (their web site has very nice guidelines on it). In my experience, the base unit is adequate for most 8-12 person conference rooms, and larger rooms require the extension mics. I have never used the remote lapel mic or the remote speaker setup.

Meet your executive teleconferencing needs with the full-duplex Polycom SoundStation Premier. This conference phone is ideal for large rooms and situation demanding the highest audio quality. With conventional, half-duplex speakerphones, only one party can speak at a time without clipping off the other party's voice. Echoes and howling can further disrupt your conversations and lead to costly misunderstandings. But because of the SoundStation Premier's full-duplex operation, you can speak naturally and hear both sides of the conversation clearly.
The Premier ensures the highest sound quality with three microphones and a digitally-tuned speaker for 360-degree coverage of an office or conference room. Polycom's Acoustic Clarity Technology uses digital signal processing with analog telephone lines to eliminate the clipping and fading that plague most speakerphones.
This technology improves speaker and microphone performance over the full bandwidth of the telephone line--300 to 3,500 Hz. Other features that boost sound quality include dynamic telephone-line echo cancellation, dynamic room-echo cancellation, signal depression, microphone switching, and digital filtering of voice signals. The Premier model also features a separate echo canceler for each of its three console mics, optimized local speech quality, and sub-band echo cancellation for incredible stability, even at maximum volume.
The SoundStation Premier now also comes with a Palm OS software interface, called the SoundStation Premier Dialer. This lets you access and dial phone numbers directly from the contact-manager database within a Palm OS handheld computer (from Palm, Handspring, TRG, IBM, and Sony). The Palm handheld also functions as a remote control, allowing you to control all SoundStation features directly from the Palm handheld.
The Premier has a full alphanumeric keypad for dialing with a mute button and flash key to access functions like hold, conference, and transfer. Other phone features include caller ID, speed dial, and a 20-digit redial. View call information on the 16-character LCD screen. Access phone and conference settings with the full-function infrared remote control.
The Premier works with any analog phone system, or with an adapter (sold separately) for digital phone systems. It comes with a wall module, 25-foot power cable, 7-foot telephone cable, and a three-year warranty.

Sony Webbie MHS-PM1 HD Camcorder (Violet) Review

Sony Webbie MHS-PM1 HD Camcorder (Violet)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I currently own a Flip Mino HD and was looking for something with a bit more features. I bought this because of its expandable memory and removable battery. I didn't want to be limited to the Flip's 60 min shooting time and 2 hour battery life. The unique swivel lens is pretty awesome! It made turning the camera on and off really easy and shooting video at all angles also easy -- especially if you're taking self videos, just turn the lens on yourself! Taking 5MP photos is a plus. You don't have to bring an extra digital camera!
With that said, I ultimately returned the camera. The features over the Flip are really great, but I was pretty disappointed in the video quality compared to the Flip. Low light video is not great -- indoor and night shooting was pretty dark. I know there's a video setting for low light, but that didn't really help the quality much. It picks up audio really well but if you swivel the lens you can hear it, and it also picks up wind easily. I mostly take snowboarding video, and do a lot of indoor and night shooting. Also, the digital zoom is choppy. If video quality is important, may I suggest searching for video samples/tests/comparisons. If you will mainly be using this outdoors during the day, this might be for you.

Intellitouch SBC-120 Corded 1 Line Multi Function Telephone with Caller ID Review

Intellitouch SBC-120 Corded 1 Line Multi Function Telephone with Caller ID
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
This phone had all the features I was looking for: caller ID display, call waiting/caller ID, flashing indicator light when you have a voice mail message (which is hard to find on a phone that does not have a built-in answering machine) and the display lit up.
The only problem was that the sound quality was poor. It sounded as if the person on the other end of the line was very far away - sort of a hollow sound. This sounded the same to the person on the other end of the line. The handset volume adjustment only had two settings and the low was too quiet and the high was too loud. I ended up returning this phone because of the poor sound quality.

GE 29582GE1 Corded Desktop Phone with CID/Speaker/ITAD (White) Review

GE 29582GE1 Corded Desktop Phone with CID/Speaker/ITAD (White)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
While the price is reasonable for the basics and a few more gadgets on this phone, it is an inferior product. Biggest problem is the static on the line -- which is definitely the phone, and not the telephone line. Also, no backlite for lcd readings, so not easy to see who's calling during during the night. Buttons are big, which was a good feature for my mom; features easy to program and use; compact size. Overall, inferior due to the static on the line.

Sony Alpha NEX-5 Digital Camera Body and E 18-55mm OSS Lens (Black) with 16GB Card + Battery + Case + Tripod + Accessory Kit
Average Reviews:

The NEX-5 camera takes great shots equal to those of the larger DLSR models. Unlike some of the magazine reviewers I found the camera to be very easy to use and the menu system adequate to find what I needed. I highly recommend the NEX-5 to those who want to take professional like shots but don't have the knowledge yet. Sony makes it very easy for us newbees. I found the HD movies and panorama mode resulted in even better images than I expected. You won't regret buying this camera.

Sony Walkman E-340 Series 8 GB Video MP3 Player (Black) Review

Sony Walkman E-340 Series 8 GB Video MP3 Player (Black)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
The E-series walkman has really good sound quality, long battery life, easy to use UI and classy look all combined. Also, it is a really open system (specially considering it is from Sony): A. simple drag-and-drop is all that is required to transfer music (though you can create a traditional sync partnership with Windows Media Player 11 if you want to) -- not having to deal with a bloatware like iTunes is pure bliss; B. no special port/sync/charging cable -- the player has a mini-USB port, and a (supplied) mini-USB to USB cable does sync and recharging the battery. Only one gripe: there is no way to create on-the-go playlists from the walkman; you must create the playlists beforehand in Windows Media Player and sync. Oh, and the 2" LCD screen is bright and has nice contrast.

In Car 4-in-1 Mp3 Wireless Modulator/fm Transmitter for Sd Card, USB Pen (Flash) Drive and Mp3 Players (Like Ipod). Black with Remote Control.

This gadget works pretty good, but is not perfect!
Pros:
>Has a lot of frequencies to choose from
>Good FM Stereo sound & and is pretty good most of the time (sometimes there is some interference)
>Very compact
>Actually worked with my 1GB SD card
>Comes with a remote (although you can easily operate the buttons on the unit by hand)
>Remembers set frequency and last song played if you remove it from car (or turn power to unit off)
>Great bargain for the technology
Cons:
>The display shows the frequency, track #, name of song; but it is so tiny you cannot possibly read it while driving!
>The major flaw is that you cannot jump from one folder to next, you can only advance song by song (but I suppose that's ok if you have all your favorite songs in the SD card, or plug in an external MP3 player in the jack provided)
>Another little glitch is that there is no OFF button on the device. My car's power outlet is always on. So I put the MP3 device on PAUSE when I stop listening (otherwise the songs will continue being processed by the MP3 player)
