(More customer reviews)I originally purchased the cable after reading the good reviews and owning a rocketfish brand hdmi cable myself (bought the rf-g1160 at bestbuy$50.00 for 4ft.) I know it sounds crazy paying that much but after spending a pretty penny on 2 new LCDs, a few extra bucks on an hdmi cable didn't seem wrong to me. I was just blown away at how cheap these cable were on amazon compared to bestbuy, $6.00 for an 8ft.? They go for about $80.00 at best buy so what's wrong with this picture? I thought either these are fake ones or it's just a damn good deal. So when I received the cable in the mail, at first glance the cable appeared to be top notch and brand new without the original packaging(seller purchased in bulk). So when I connected it from lcd to cable box, it didn't work. Then I tried the other lcd to xbox, and still no signal. So I must be one of the unlucky ones with a defective cable. On both the Sony bravia LCDs the cable produced no signal. I went through all the typical troubleshooters and trial and errors and came to the conclusion that that this cable I received was defective, looked brand new but it's a dud I guess. The one I purchased at bestbuy worked perfect on both but this one does not, I should have known the price was to good to be true and I hate to think this stuff could be dare I say blackmarket junk but these days anythings possible. I will just take this as a learning experience and will now never buy anything like this without original packaging from a stranger online. I'm not saying some of these are fakes I'm only saying if the price looks to good to be true then there could be a good reason for it.
